What to Expect on a Sunday morning
We know it can be an intimidating process when you're looking for the right church home. That's why we think it's important you know what to expect. FFCC is home for us and we want you to feel the same even your first time with us.
Worship. Worship is the most selfless thing we do. It's all about God, and nothing about us. That's why we start our services with it. We want you to feel the freedom to participate in whatever ways the Lord leads you. Some expressions of worship we see in scripture include singing, clapping, raising hands, dancing, kneeling or simply being still before God.
Communion. Jesus instructed us to remember Him by taking communion, and we choose to do it every week. Most weeks we do this during our worship time. You're invited to participate with us. The trays will be passed down the rows and you simply take the elements when they come to you.
Release for Kids' Church. For the second part of the service, we have Kids' Church for children 4th grade and down. This is a great opportunity for them to learn about God on their own level and they have a great time doing it.
Message from the Word. Because the Bible is God's absolute truth, we dig into the Word each week to help us in our spiritual growth.
That's it. We hope this info helps, however what you'll experience at FFCC is more than any words we can put on this page, so I hope you'll check us out on a Sunday morning.
Some things that are important to us
Relating to God. To us, this is where it all starts. God gets to choose however He wants to define the way we connect with Him. He chooses relationship. It's the only way we connect with Him - His only plan. So much of what we do at FFCC is focused on learning how to relate to God through His Word, through prayer and through understanding His presence with us.
Relating to each other. God made us to be connected to one another - to live in community as the Body of Christ. The expression of that community is seen in how we live life together. It is lived out when we place high priority on the people God has placed in our lives. We try to build the essence of community in everything we do at FFCC, however the core expression of it is discovered in our Journey Groups, or home groups. Check out our Journey Groups page to find out more.
Growing in God. God created us as living organic beings, intended to grow in Him. This process is often referred to as "discipleship" which simply means that we're moving forward in who we are in God. All our various ministries are built around one central focus - to grow with intentionality and purpose.
Serving others. Serving was a big deal to Jesus. So much so that He said it this way- "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life." At FFCC, we think serving is a big deal also. We want people to know the love of Jesus for themselves and we figure the best way for this to happen is for them to "taste" it through us. Feel free to look at our Outreach page to get more detail.
